Contract type - This is a permanent position

Flexible working - This is a blended working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the London Head Office. However, there will also be an expectation to visit other locations as the need arises. The Marketing team aims to be in the office once a week.

About the role:

Although this role sits within the JLFS Marketing Team, you’ll be working closely with our Partners in Risk & Compliance to ensure that all financial Services (FS) product advertising and promotional material that is issued to our retail customers meets ASA and FCA expectations and delivers fair outcomes. 

You will also have a broader role to assist the Senior Marketing Controls Manager to make sure that the policies and controls within the Marketing area are implemented appropriately. 

As the Marketing Controls Manager you will be an accountable compliance SME for Financial promotions and will work directly with Marketing 3rd Party Providers, providing approvals and guidance to ensure that our marketing material is always right first time. 

You’ll take a proactive role in making sure that Marketing adheres to the Financial Promotions framework, and associated controls and policies. 

Key responsibilities: 

- Help deliver right first time, compliant financial promotions that support fair outcomes and minimise any brand or reputational risk to JLP. 

- Demonstrate a clear understanding of relevant FS industry principles including the ASA, FCA, HMRC, Consumer Credit obligations and all related legal and regulatory obligations for JLFS related business. 

- Work across the Marketing team to ensure that the policies and controls are effective. 

- Provide in-house expertise to proactively support the ongoing development and embedding of Financial Promotion process and controls, contribute to training and support Marketing Partners achieve approvals of their Financial Promotions.

- Day to day management of approvals platform to ensure the process is fit for purpose, enabling accurate audit trail and efficient workflow.

- Liaise with third party partners to ensure alignment and adherence of JLFS finproms standards. 

- Work closely with Provider Compliance functions, Legal Services, JLFS Risk & Compliance, JLFS Leadership Team and JLFS team. 

Essential skills you’ll need: 

· 
Experience working in relevant markets, i.e. Financial Services - ideally in credit or insurance. 

· 
Experience of working in a financial promotions environment, or other relevant compliance experience. 

· 
Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, written and verbal communication, and organisation skills 

· 
Good knowledge and understanding of regulations, laws and codes of conduct relating to financial promotions, including the FCA COBS, ICOBS, and CONC financial promotion rules; Advertising Standards Authority and the Committee of Advertising Practice Codes of Practice, and Consumer Duty.
