What’s the role about?
Working for the Head of Compensation, you will be joining a team who are continuing to deliver a refreshed pay strategy for 70,000 Partners across our business. Excellent business partnering, thought leadership and compensation expertise coupled with a track record of delivery are required to be successful in the role.
You’ll be a great people leader, responsible for setting direction and strategy for a team of managers and analysts, providing support and development for Partners to contribute at their best and deliver their role outcomes
You’ll also be leading on elements of pay strategy delivery, or running our cyclical pay processes such as pay review, scoping the direction required and actions for your team to implement. You’ll be comfortable and experienced in engaging with a number of key stakeholder groups including our democratic channels, leadership and Executive teams, playing an integral role in writing the relevant material (i.e. packs and Executive/Board papers) to reach suitable outcomes for the business.
What you'll be doing?

Identify the impacts of the Partnership plan and People plan on the compensation proposition, and prioritise areas to develop.

Support the compensation team in their personal and professional development, prioritising their activity and ensuring outcomes are delivered to agreed standards and timelines and being the escalation route for Partners when needed.

Keep abreast of all relevant legal, economic and regulatory changes and respond accordingly, working closely with the Employment Law Team.

Work with the relevant teams across the function to build end to end delivery plans, capturing change activities and key milestones.

Engage and partner with stakeholders effectively, within and beyond function
·
Focus on delivering the Partnership wide annual pay review cycle and developing/refining other pay propositions.
·
Accountable for breaking perceived or real barriers within the organisation to foster a culture of cross-functional collaboration. Champion proposition with senior teams and seek their advocacy for change.

What you’ll have
·
Deep understanding of technical reward strategies and experience of leading the development and implementation of reward propositions eg pay review in large, multi-site companies
·
Analytical and comfortable dealing with large data sets in relation to pay
·
Experience and passion for leading a reward team
·
Good financial acumen, abreast of latest developments in economy, legislative and political landscape in relation to pay
·
Experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships and a strong business partnering attitude to get things done
·
Consultancy style experience could be beneficial, the work is pacey and requires multiple projects to be run simultaneously.

Duties and Responsibilities
Working pattern/flexible working - This is a hybrid working role, therefore your time will primarily be split between working from home and the Bracknell/ London Head Office. The Compensation team currently meets every 6 weeks in person.
Salary range - The salary range for this role is set at £69,300 - £110,500
Contract type - This is a maternity cover secondment/fixed term contract and is likely to last 12 months, ideally starting in March 2025.
