Class 1 Driver

Job description

Hyatt Regency Harare the Meikles Hotel is looking for a Class 1 Driver responsible for the timeous transportation of Hyatt Regency guests and staff according to the company transportation policy.

Vehicle Maintenance

§ Ensure vehicles are clean both externally and internally to ensure for a neat presentation of the vehicles thus upholding the image of the hotel.

§ Ensure vehicles are road worthy to avoid any accidents due to unfit vehicles.

§ Conducts a cockpit check every morning i.e. checking of water level, tyre pressure etc. to ensure that the vehicle is fully functional to avoid delays in execution of duties.

§ Decides on the refueling of vehicles to ensure that there is always adequate fuel in an effort to avoid disrupting work activities.

§ Ensures that vehicle faults are attended to by qualified mechanics and that servicing of vehicles is done as scheduled.

§ Ensures that vehicles are safely locked, always parked and alarm set to avoid theft.

§ Conduct check lists of vehicle tools to ensure that no tools have been lost or stolen thus protecting hotel assets.

§ Fill in log books that detail mileage of every time the Driver leaves the premises

Transportation Services

§ Transportation of employees and guest to their intended destinations.

§ Prepare and plan delivery schedule to ensure that scheduled deliveries are made timeously.

§ Plan and coordinate daily trips to avoid high traffic pattern areas to stay on transportation schedule.

Qualifications - External

Qualifications :

Qualifications and Experience:

§ Class 1 driving license

§ At Least 2 years driving experience (traceable references required)

§ No criminal record or misdemeanour record from previous employer/s

§ Prepared to undergo basic security training.

§ Thorough background checks shall be conducted.
