The purpose of the role is to be responsible for finance related matters including overseeing the income and the financial position of the bank in Malta.

In this role you will:

·  Be responsible for the monthly review of the bank's income statement and financial position.
·  Assist in the monthly, quarterly, half yearly and year-end financial reporting as well as operational/transactional accounting.
·  Report the financial regulatory returns which are submitted to the local regulators.
·  Be responsible for the review of the general ledger reconciliations and substantiation of balance sheet accounts.
·  Assist auditors with any financial reporting requirements and queries which are raised during the course of the audit.
·  Ensure that all financial regulatory requirements are met. Individual needs to keep up to date with regulatory changes to proactively address requirements and make necessary process changes sufficiently in advance of these changes becoming effective.
·  Assist the Chief Accounting Officer and other team members on key deliverables and adhoc requests from management, regulators and other internal stakeholders.

You should apply if you have:

·  High analytical ability and well developed problem solving skills.
·  Ability to work under pressure, with strong organisational skills and ability to deliver on tight deadlines with accuracy and speed.
·  Ability to work in a professional team and manage financial control in a complex environment
·  Strong collaboration and team working skills.
·  Fluency in English.
·  Have a recognised accountancy qualification or in the process of obtaining an accountancy qualification is highly desirable.
