This role blends engineering, analytics, and cloud enabled automation to help DOJ modernize financial operations, improve data visibility, and streamline mission support functions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

. Design, build, test, and deploy automation solutions that streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency across DOJ financial and procurement systems.
. Develop reporting solutions using 4GL tools, forms, dashboards, and custom SQL queries to support data-driven decision making.
. Troubleshoot, document, and resolve ERP issues, interface behaviors, configuration defects, and performance bottlenecks.
. Write and execute User Validation scripts supporting system releases and functional enhancements.
. Perform data analysis across Momentum schemas (financials, procurement, budgeting) to identify trends, errors, and optimization opportunities.
. Collaborate with DOJ program staff, SMEs, developers, and product teams to influence solution enhancements and enterprise product roadmaps.
. Investigate business process outcomes for accuracy, compliance, and efficiency; propose automation or redesign opportunities.
. Support environment maintenance across dev/test/prod tiers, including installing weekly builds, applying patches, refreshing environments, and validating deployments.
. Manage and update AMIs or equivalent environment baselines to ensure secure, repeatable, and consistently configured application environments.
. Execute routine deployment tasks such as code drops, configuration updates, automated pipeline promotions, and post deployment verification steps.
. Coordinate with infrastructure and cloud teams to troubleshoot environment-level issues, monitor system health, and ensure uptime and stability for Momentum and related applications.
. Assist with documentation of technical designs, test artifacts, change requests, and compliance materials.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

. U.S. Citizenship (due to the nature of the DOJ contract).
. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Engineering, or related field.

. Hands-on experience with Linux, SQL, Python, and at least one compiled or enterprise language (.NET/C# or Java).
. Strong understanding of relational database structures, query optimization, and data modeling concepts.
. Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments across the full SDLC: requirements, design, development, testing, documentation, deployment, and O&M.
. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, operate with minimal supervision, and deliver high quality results in a fast paced environment.
. Demonstrated success working with SMEs, analysts, developers, vendors, and cross functional client teams.
. Strong problem solving ability, communication skills, and attention to detail.
. Track record of meeting client expectations and contributing to successful deliveries.
DOJ expectations:
. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust background investigation.
. Commitment to secure coding, data stewardship, and audit ready documentation.
Desired qualifications/non-essential skills required:
. Experience with IBM Workload Automation, webMethods, web services, or similar integration/middleware platforms.
. Exposure to AWS cloud services (EC2, Lambda, RDS for Oracle, EFS, CloudWatch) and/or automated CI/CD workflows (GitLab, Jira, pipelines).
. Familiarity with BI/data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker, or similar).
. Understanding of federal financial processes (procurement, funds control, budgeting) is highly preferred.
