Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with strong expertise in SSIS, general ETL principles, and Python development. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of data integration solutions—from design and development to deployment and maintenance. You will build traditional ETL workflows using SSIS while also leveraging Python to create flexible, automated scripts for data manipulation, API integration, and complex transformations. The ideal candidate is a hybrid developer who is passionate about data and proficient in both legacy and modern data engineering tools.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

* Architect and design end-to-end data integration solutions that are efficient, scalable, and reliable, meeting business and technical requirements.
* Develop, test, and maintain complex ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), focusing on performance, reusability, and robust error handling.
* Create and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, data cleansing, API interaction, and automating data pipeline workflows using libraries like Pandas and Requests.
* Write high-performing T-SQL code, including stored procedures, functions, and complex queries to support ETL processes and data validation in MS SQL Server.
* Implement complex business logic and data transformations within both SSIS and Python environments to ensure data is accurate and ready for analysis.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Experience: 4+ years of dedicated experience in data engineering or ETL development.
• SSIS Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in designing and building complex, high-volume ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Python for Data: Strong Python programming skills, specifically for data engineering tasks (e.g., data manipulation with Pandas, API calls with Requests, file processing).
• ETL Fundamentals: Deep understanding of ETL theory, data warehousing concepts (e.g., dimensional modeling), and data pipeline architecture.
• Advanced SQL: Expertise in writing and tuning complex T-SQL on MS SQL Server.
• Versatility: Proven ability to work with a variety of data sources, including databases, flat files, APIs, and semi-structured data (XML, JSON).

Good-to-Have Skills:
• Cloud Data Platforms: Experience with cloud-based ETL/ELT services like Azure Data Factory (ADF), AWS Glue, or Google Cloud Dataflow.
• Microsoft BI Stack: Familiarity with other components of the MS BI stack (SSRS, SSAS).
• Version Control: Proficiency with Git for managing code and collaborating with a team.
• CI/CD Practices: Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for data solutions (e.g., Azure DevOps).
• Data Quality: Experience with data quality and data governance principles.
• Agile Environment: Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development team.
