Job Title: Playwright Automation and Functional Tester

Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Playwright Automation and Functional Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using Playwright, as well as performing manual functional testing to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications, APIs, Integration.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform manual functional testing for new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.
• Maintain and enhance the automation framework to support continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of an Agile team.
• Document test cases, test plans, test results concisely in Xray tests.
• Contribute to improving QA processes and best practices.
Must-Have Skills:
• 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 1 year in Playwright automation.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or other scripting languages used with Playwright.
• Experience with manual functional testing of web applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps. Xray tests, Jira, confluence.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and working in Scrum teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities across geographies.
Good-to-Have Skills:
• Experience with other automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Open source
• Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or REST Assured.
• Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, k6).
• Trade or Financial application knowledge will be an added advantage
