Job Summary

CGI is seeking a skilled ETL Developer with 3–6 years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter, SQL, and Unix. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting ETL workflows and data integration solutions to ensure efficient data movement and transformation across enterprise systems.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows, mappings, and sessions using Informatica PowerCenter
Analyze business and technical requirements to build robust data integration solutions
Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database scripts
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple source systems to target databases
Work with Unix shell scripting for job automation, file handling, and batch processing
Troubleshoot ETL job failures, performance issues, and data discrepancies
Conduct unit testing, system testing, and support UAT activities
Monitor production jobs and provide timely issue resolution
Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems
Collaborate with business analysts, DBAs, and application teams
Prepare technical design documents and support documentation

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Skills
3–6 years of hands-on experience in Informatica PowerCenter
Strong expertise in SQL with experience in writing complex queries and performance tuning
Good experience in Unix/Linux commands and shell scripting
Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data migration
Experience working with Oracle / SQL Server / Teradata / DB2 databases
Knowledge of data validation and reconciliation techniques
Good problem-solving and debugging skills
Familiarity with production support and incident management
Preferred Skills
Exposure to data warehousing concepts (star schema, snowflake schema)
Experience with scheduling tools like Autosys / Control-M / Cron
Knowledge of performance tuning in Informatica
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology
Exposure to cloud ETL tools is a plus
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field
Relevant experience in ETL and data integration projects
