Internship - Process Optimization for SAF Production (F/M)

Job description

Context:

Axens Project Operations Business Division (POP) mission is to provide advanced technologies, basic engineering design, modular units design and technical services to its customers.

We are looking for an intern for the POP Process Department. This Department works on basic engineering projects and Modular Units Projects development for our customers but also on new technologies development.

The technology concerned by this internship is within the family of the homogeneous catalysis and is one of the keystone for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).

Tasks and activities:

· Optimization of process simulation and development of related documents and calculation tools such as pressure profile and simulation guidelines. Perform a critical analysis of simulation results creating a verification tool that enables the checking of the heat and material balance consistency as well as main technical parameters;

· Update design guidelines for unit metallurgy and develop typical Material Selection Diagram;

· Perform studies to compare, analyze and capitalize on past projects feedback and latest technical improvements identified by process team;

· Based on the progress, other activities for process improvement may be undertaken by the intern such as the development of equipment design tools or guidelines and consultation of suppliers.

Desired profile

Profile:

· Currently in your 3rd year of engineer school specialized in Process/Chemical Engineering

· You are looking for a 5 to 6 months internship.

· You are interested in process simulation, and ideally know how to use ProII simulation software.

· A good level of written and spoken English is mandatory.

· You are proactive, curious and with good communication skills and willing to integrate a motivated team.
