Design Engineer - Adsorption & Purification Processes (F/M)
Stage Rueil-Malmaison (Hauts-de-Seine)
Job description
Context :
Axens Project Operations Business Division (POP) mission is to provide advanced technologies, basic engineering design, modular units design and technical services to its customers. In the Process Department we work on basic engineering projects and Modular Units Projects development for our customers but also on new technologies development.
Axens portfolio include several processes in which gaseous and/or liquid products need to be purified to reach the desired quality (catalytic or equipment protection) or to reach a desired commercial specification. One purification route is the adsorption of the impurities on a dedicated material. Once saturated, the adsorption capacity is restored using a regenerant stream.
The aim of the internship is to conduct simulation studies to optimize the adsorption sections.
Tasks and activities:
In close contact with the process design teams and process specialists, you will work on several simulation studies linked to adsorption section of specific processes including SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) production process.
Your main missions will be:
- Develop and/or Optimize simulation models for various regeneration schemes;
- Develop a dynamic simulation model to evaluate the impact of the regeneration steps on the sizing and operation;
- Depending on progress on the above tasks, you may be involved in other activities linked to process improvement.
Desired profile
Profile :
· Currently in your last year engineer school specialized in Process/Chemical Engineering
· You are looking for a 5 to 6 months internship.
