You'll be responsible for

·  Providing coaching and guidance for consistent, fair, and efficient claims interpretation and settlement.
·  Identifying, analysing and reporting on portfolio trends including emerging risks, aged claims, quality assurance and presenting on these topics to internal stakeholders.
·  Collaborating closely with the Claims Team Managers to ensure procedural compliance and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
·  Making and documenting core and complex claims decisions within authority limits, delegating authority as per documented procedures, and serve as an SME in Liability Claims.

 

About you

·  Significant experience in managing complex claims and complaints within a general insurance organisation, with an understanding of a matrixed corporate structure.
·  In-depth knowledge of the claims handling process, including settlement procedures and adherence to the relevant Claims Code.
·  Demonstrated meticulous attention to detail, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and efficiently, with the ability to spot errors or inconsistencies.
·  Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise, and manage tasks while juggling competing demands and resources.
·  Excellent communication skills including conflict resolution,  combined with the ability to balance understanding, empathy and compassion with the best commercial outcome for AAL.
