During your first year of employment, you will participate in the Graduate Program which is a 12-month professional development program designed to attract, develop and retain the next generation of insurance professionals. The Program will support your growth as a well-rounded technical expert and potential future leader at Allianz Commercial. Key Program elements include:
- Employment begins mid-July 2026 and the Program starts in early August of 2026.

Your Team:
The local Liability team works locally supporting and driving business strategy in collaboration with local teams. Collectively they manage 10 different insurance products, referred to as lines of business, ensuring our risk and exposure levels are maintained at a profitable level. This means working with local teams, external partners in the market, and most importantly our clients. This team also has oversight of the Global Pricing, Portfolio Management, Accumulation Steering and Product Development and Transformation teams. Each product team is responsible for ensuring we deliver strong results, whilst also understanding the context of the bigger picture, e.g. ESG commitments, industry change and the latest innovation internally and externally.
The Impact You Will Have:
1. Underwriting Support & Development
Assist in the implementation of Liability underwriting guidelines by learning how to analyze risks against Allianz’s underwriting philosophy and risk policy.
Support senior underwriters in the preparation of quotes, analysis of submissions, and processing of new business and renewals.
Participate in the constant review and monitoring of portfolio performance, helping to identify trends and potential issues affecting profitable growth.
2. Business Growth & Market Engagement
Learn to explore and identify profitable business segments by conducting market research and data analysis.
Accompany and support the marketing team and senior underwriters in meetings with potential and existing customers and brokers to understand client needs and the sales process.
Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of networks with insurance brokers and intermediaries by providing administrative and technical support.
3. Product & Strategy Innovation
Participate in the development of new products and the revamp of existing products by conducting competitor analysis and gathering market insights.
Learn how to leverage data and analytics to support business decisions and improve underwriting efficiency.
Contribute ideas for innovative business solutions that satisfy customer needs while driving premium growth.
4. Technical & Compliance Awareness
Develop a good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework affecting the Liability insurance market.
Support the team in designing and implementing consistent policy wordings by reviewing drafts and attending technical training sessions.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
Education & Mindset
University graduate (all disciplines are welcome, but degrees in Business, Economics, Finance, Law, or Insurance/Risk Management are advantageous).
A strong interest in the commercial insurance industry and a desire to build a career in underwriting.
A team-player attitude with the ability to work in open collaboration with others.
Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
