About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our team at Allianz. This role is crucial for enhancing and running the Allianz Data Platform data layer, a global bespoke solution that aligns with our Data Strategy. The selected candidate will support critical development and run operations and ensure the stability and availability of this solution.

 

Your Career

·  Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and databases using SQL, Stored Procedures, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and Apache Spark.
·  Develop and implement data models following 3NF, Data Vault, and Star Schema methodologies.
·  Collect, analyze, and formalize user scenarios, functional and operational requirements regarding analytics software solutions and translate them into technical software design.
·  Partner with cross-functional analytics engineering teams to design, develop, test, debug, document cloud-based analytics software solutions, and integrate built-in software and/or application components from third parties.
·  Ensure fulfilment of security, performance, maintainability, and scalability of analytics software solutions to meet customer needs, internal standards, security concepts, and operational requirements.
·  Advise on best practices and new techniques in software engineering and software quality.

 

Our Requireements

·  Proficiency in databases and data pipelines (SQL, Stored Procedures, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Apache Spark).
·  Expertise in 3NF, Data Vault, and Star Schema methodologies.
·  Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python (preferred), JavaScript/Typescript, etc.
·  Experience with Git/Github for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
·  Relevant work experience in the field.
·  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related fields.
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
·  Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
·  Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
