We are looking for a Claims Adjuster (m/f/d), based in London.

The Impact You Will Have
Based in London and reporting to the Head of Property, Entertainment, Natural Resources and Construction Claims (UK), you will be delivering effective and efficient claims handling support with a particular focus on liability claims. Your responsibilities will include creating and maintaining peer level relationships with brokers, collaborating with other functions to ensure accurate claims administration and completing general claims administration tasks as required. Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Handle standard and complex claims on Entertainment policies, with a particular focus on liability claims
Input and maintain accurate claims records (e.g. reserves, payments) for designated accounts
Process standard indemnity and expense payments
Prepare case for settlement of claims through payment or denial
Produce management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements)
Prepare referral documentation and materials as appropriate
Report loss information internally and externally
Work with other functional areas in the Claims handling process, such as Underwriting and Operations, as well as with colleagues in our offices abroad
Maintain the Claims Portal and administer claims via this system
What You’ll Bring to the Role
A solid experience handling liability claims. Property handling experience would also be an advantage
Preferably a degree in Law, or other appropriate discipline and you have a professional insurance qualification
At ease in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience using a Claims Portal
Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework
Understanding of relevant legal processes and procedures, litigation management and avoidance techniques
Knowledge of reserving principles and practices; robust understanding of coinsurance and reinsurance and application
Highly organised, able to prioritise and work to deadlines
Positive team spirit and excellent relational skills
A basic understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business is essential.
