Job description
What you do:
You will manage projects across a variety of domains. You will take ownership of project tasks until appropriate owners are identified and collaborate with other teams to avoid gaps in handoffs. You will be accountable for accurate deliverables for the team and frequent status reporting at all levels. Opportunity to flex skillset to fit dynamic nature of projects, including support design solutioning, impact analysis, create business cases, process diagrams, and gap analysis to support ongoing process improvements. We are looking for strong communication, organization, problem solving, and detail orientation skills. Ability to perform root-cause analysis and process documentation. Mastery of the Microsoft suite (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook). You will report to the Projects and Strategic Planning Senior Manager.
- Deliver projects on time and within budget, which meet our requirements.
- Create the Project Management Plan (PMP) and detailed:
- project schedule; identify and schedule project deliverables and tasks.
- Understand the value and benefits of why the project is needed.
- Define the problem, scope, impacts and goals of project.
- Perform project schedule analysis to identify critical path and resource issues.
- Prepare high-level estimates (time, resources, cost), confirming with others who have experience in the affected areas.
- Identify skills needed and work with functional managers to assure complete and appropriate resourcing.
- Ensure project scope delivers benefits expected.
- Create a comprehensive communication plan that includes both internal and external project communication documents, meetings, and reporting requirements including maintenance of the project data in the Project Portfolio database.
- Manage the project(s) from initiation through delivery, warranty, if applicable, and closure:
- Collect and report on plan-to-actual progress to the project schedule, at individual project task and overall project levels
- Manage project documentation within the project notebook, or comparable documentation structure, including status reports, meeting minutes, issues, action items, and other communications
- Conduct project kick-off and ongoing meetings; capture decisions, issues, and action items
- Assign and monitor project team member work; provide direction
- Manage the project budget, if applicable
- Identify risks, assign responsibility and lead issues to resolution
- Assure compliance with company project management policies
- Communicate with customers to manage expectations
- Integrate best practices, project standards, procedures, and quality goals, including metrics for assessing progress into projects and provide feedback for improvement
- Coach less experienced personnel across functional project management teams and within project teams.
- Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)
What you bring:
- 4+ years’ experience required: managing successful projects. Solid knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) for IT Projects and PMLC (Project Management Life Cycle).
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
- You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require immigration sponsorship for visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B, L-1, TN, etc.). If you are currently on CPT/OPT, you are ineligible due to the need for future immigration sponsorship.
Base Salary Range $90,000 – 134,000
Actual base salary may vary based upon factors such as relevant experience, qualifications, internal equity of peers, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual incentive program.
