Associate Portfolio Manager

Job description

Join us now as Associate Portfolio Manager in Singapore within the Asia Private Credit team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing private credit transactions in Asia Private Credit’s key geographies. The team is part of the c. USD 114bn AllianzGI Private Markets platform.

This is a great opportunity to join a team of 10 investment professionals currently based in Singapore and Mumbai, currently managing USD 1.4bn and growing quickly.

What you do

Investments:

• Support PMs on the end-to-end execution of private credit transactions in Asia Private Credit’s key geographies (Australia, India, Middle East and Southeast Asia), across both Secured Lending as well as Infrastructure Credit strategies
• Carry out industry research as well as detailed credit and financial analysis of investment opportunities
• Assist in the preparation of investment proposals / credit memos, financial modelling and due diligence of underlying corporates and borrowers
• Support PMs in the ongoing credit monitoring and asset management of existing positions in the portfolio

Others:

• Preparation of business updates and marketing collateral for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., portfolio updates, fundraising materials for LPs, ESG)
• Monitor market data for portfolio companies and sectors

What you bring

• At least 3-4 years of total experience working for an investment bank (M&A advisory or Leveraged Finance) or private credit fund
• Proven experience in financial modelling, credit risk analysis and underwriting, executing corporate finance and capital raising transactions, etc.
• Relevant past / transaction experience in private credit as well as infrastructure and energy transition sectors are a plus
• Advanced corporate finance and modeling skills
• Analytical and critical thinking abilities
• Attention to detail and organizational strength
• Initiative and eagerness to learn
• Effective written and verbal communication
• AI skills: ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.
