Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Leicestershire

Contract Details: Permanent

Salary: £34,000 - £43,000 per annum + benefits

Hours: 37.5 hrs p/w-Days (early finish on Friday's)

Responsibilities:

·  Design and develop mechanical components and systems for various projects

·  Collaborate with internal teams, including electrical engineers and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery

·  Create detailed engineering drawings and models for manufacturing

·  Conduct feasibility studies and analyse design options

·  Perform calculations and simulations to validate design requirements

·  Participate in design reviews and provide feedback for continuous improvement

·  Develop design specifications and support the procurement process

·  Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

·  Troubleshoot design issues and propose effective solutions

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

·  Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

·  Solid understanding of engineering drawings (electrical and mechanical)

·  Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks or AutoCAD

·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·  Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

·  Experience in the design of industrial machinery or equipment

·  Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials selection

·  Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software

·  Project management experience
