Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Our client, is currently seeking a Warehouse Operative to join their team. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient Goods Inwards/Outwards procedure while ensuring accuracy and adherence to company standards.

Responsibilities:

·  Process goods inwards, including packing lists, despatch notes, pro-forma invoices, and advice notes, while keeping filing up to date.

·  Pack and unpack goods for despatch, maintaining accuracy at all times.

·  Maintain accuracy of serial number tracked items and update the warranty database and other databases as required.

·  Collaborate with the returns administrator to handle non-conforming and faulty goods effectively.

·  Operate a counterbalance forklift truck for loading, unloading, and equipment movement.

·  Use MEWP (Scissor Lift) to access high-level storage and other areas as needed.

·  Maintain a clean and organised work environment, both internally and externally.

·  Handle Hazardous Goods (Lithium batteries) packing, ensuring compliance with transport procedures.

·  Adhere to Known Consignor Status standards and procedures.

·  Participate in training sessions to enhance product awareness and administrative processes.

·  Provide facilities support, including assisting with work area changes, equipment or material movement, and minor maintenance tasks.

·  Display good working practises and comply with Health and Safety policies.

·  Assist in company post duties if required.

·  Conduct cyclical stock checks to maintain accurate stock levels.

·  Perform stock-related tasks with a high level of accuracy.

·  Support the Warehouse Supervisor in conducting the yearly stock check.

·  Act as a secondary point of contact for the Stores person at the Newcastle site and assist with inventory/process queries at remote sites.

·  Manage the ordering process for Stores consumables, including packaging, stationary, PPE, and tools.

Requirements:

·  Previous experience in a warehouse or stores environment preferred.

·  Proficient in using forklift trucks and MEWPs.

·  Knowledge of stock control procedures and documentation.

·  Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

·  Excellent organisational and time management skills.

·  Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

·  A proactive approach to problem-solving.

·  Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations.

·  Basic computer skills, including the use of Excel.
