Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef de Partie to join our culinary team in Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and safety.
· Manage and coordinate activities within your assigned kitchen section
· Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation
· Collaborate with the sous chef and other kitchen staff to create innovative menu items
· Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
· Assist in inventory management and stock control for your section
· Contribute to menu planning and recipe development, incorporating international culinary trends
· Ensure timely food delivery and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction
· Adapt to the unique challenges and opportunities of working in a multicultural environment
· Participate in cost control measures and minimize food waste
Qualifications
· Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification
· Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role
· Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
· Extensive knowledge of various cuisines and advanced cooking techniques
· Proficiency in using a wide range of kitchen equipment and tools
· Thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices, with current food safety certification
· Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
· Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or other languages is a plus
· Creativity and passion for developing new recipes and menu items
· Expertise in menu planning, portion control, and food cost management
· Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
· Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects when necessary
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
· Willingness to adapt to and embrace diverse culinary traditions and practices
