The Opportunity
For our Abbott Diabetes Care Division (ADC) we are looking for an experience professional to join our commercial team as a Head of Marketing for Czech Republic and Slovakia.
This will be a regional role, located in Prague, Czech Republic, with 2 direct reports.
Primary objective of position:
· Development of long term plans and business strategies (including Digital and Medical Community) for the product categories and P&L business management in order to achieve set business targets.
· Responsible for developing strategies in Czech Republic and Slovakia to make Abbott products successful.
Major accountabilities:
· Analysis of market trends and recommend changes and strategies based on market analysis. Analysis and identification of potential increases of market shares of product categories Czechia and Slovakia.
· Management of the team (team building, motivation, goal setting, performance monitoring). Managing teams and projects in an international environment, understanding of multi-cultural markets with different business models.
· Support operational, “hands on” marketing activities (events, marketing materials, implementation of global strategy etc.)
· Demonstrate an understanding of the application of the Quality Policy through daily activities.
· Budgeting: Prepare or arrange for preparation of budgets, reports, and forecasts. Ensure they are completed in timely manner. Manage marketing expenses within Plan/ Update.
· Customer Relations: Maintain necessary contact with key customers to achieve objectives of division. Develop and maintain report with key opinion leaders in the market place to identify trends, competitor activities and new business situation.
· EHS: Perform all responsibilities in accordance with Environment, Health & Safety roles, standards and polices.
Required Qualifications :
· University degree of Science or Economics/Marketing or similar
· Excellent command of written and spoken English + native Czech is a must.
· Min 8 years of marketing experience in international company
· Prior leadership experience is mandatory (at least 1-2 years in managerial/team lead position, preferably within corporate environment).
· Real marketing hands-on experience with proven record.
· Medical product management experience as an asset.
· Multicultural experience would be a strong asset.
· Ability to promote understanding of marketing, brand, consumer and market.
· Strong understand of organization as a whole and find synergies across functions, divisions and affiliates.
· Ability to anticipate key influencing factors on ADC short and long term planning process.
· Ability to analyze market and consumer information,
· Ability to plan and execute modeling and marketing plan.
· Strong leadership and motivation skills.
