JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Sr Marketing Manager , We are looking for a Marketing Manager Italy to join our Rapid Diagnostic team in Italy.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager Italy is responsible to drive commercial success in strong collaboration with Italian Commercial Leadership.
· Develop regional campaigns in line with Global- and European communication strategy to drive revenues and improve awareness
· Tailor and manage implementation of marketing activities in the region, aligning with Regional Marketing strategies- & tactics, Global Marcom managers and country stakeholders
· Plan, monitor and report expenses
· Project Management of European Marketing projects
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing against Marketing Plans that ensure delivery of short/medium-term turnover (1-3-year impact), volume and market share goals based on a deep understanding of the cluster markets and Abbott portfolio and respective diseases.
Development of local marketing and promotional plans
· Develop local marketing plans in alignment with regional plan
· Deliver and track the execution of Marketing initiatives
· Manage local promotional plans (including exhibition, symposia, marketing collateral, sales tools, digital and PR content)
· Participate in product launch projects from early stages and plan local launch plans
· Liaison Manager for Distribution Business in Greece and Israel
Gain deep understanding of local market
· Customer segments mapping (size, patient pathway, reimbursement, stakeholders, value proposition, opportunity assessment)
· Product features/benefits, product utilization and customer insights
· Competitor intelligence
· Market dynamics (growth/decline key drivers, PESTLE analysis)
· Gain deep understanding of customers’ product utilization, needs and insights in the Italy, Greece and Israel
· Travels in field to better understand product utilization & competitive intelligence directly from market, customers and sales representatives as well as surveys
Routine participation in strategy alignment and sales effectiveness
· New product launch plans (including pre-launch phases deliverables)
· Provide input and align with Region/BU (customer segmentation, value proposition, product positioning, competition, pricing)
Routine participation in sales effectiveness:
· Roll-out marketing plans and sales tactics at sales meetings
· Track and report progress of annual tactical plans
· Collaborate with cluster head and finance partner in the management of pricing to
· achieve profitability goals
· Conduct business analysis and monitor key performance indicators
· Monitor training needs and collaborate with application specialist to deploy training (marketing strategy & product training)
Background and experience
· BA/BS in Marketing, Business, and/or Biological Science or related field
· At least 5+ years industry experience with ideally 3+ years of experience in in vitro Diagnostics marketing functions or medical devices.
· Familiarity with Infectious Diseases, Molecular and Lateral Flow test technology and related markets strongly preferred
· Proven experience leading marketing and sales within life sciences
· Proven ability of delivering goals in a fast-paced, matrixed organization
· Proven ability to effectively communicate & collaborate with all key stakeholders
· Proficiency in English and Italian is mandatory. Minimum level CEFB3; additional proficiency in Greek and Spanish preferred
· IT/office Tools: Use of core functional processes (e.g. Outlook, CRM software, SAP,
· Concur, Workday, WebEx or equivalent)
· Ability to travel 35% of the time (nationally and internationally)
