Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives:

Marketing Manager develops and drives all marketing strategies and execution that will help Korea achieve market leadership and in delivering real and differentiated value for its customers. He or she will promote the total solution, make our value proposition tangible, and collaborate across the organization to maximize acquisition, value expansion and brand building initiatives with impact across the country.

Major Responsibilities

1. Develop Marketing Strategy & Execute

·  Drives the overall execution of the country marketing plan taking into account global and area initiatives, country priorities and localization as needed.
·  Ensures strong alignment with area marketing and country leadership with periodic reviews.
·  Anticipates challenges and risks, using proactive contingency and scenario planning
·  Influences and supports training of country sales teams to ensure strategy and plan are understood / actioned.
·  Collaborate with other functions like Comex, GA, PA as lead to advance initiatives.
·  Partners with Acquisition and VE teams to improve win rate, increase customer loyalty and value

2. Launch Excellence

·  Has strong experience launching new solutions in an agile, efficient way
·  Effectively forecasts impact of launches and gains alignment on targets
·  Drives the development of country launch plans, ensuring they are relevant, realistic and robust – reflecting customer / market insights and area priorities.
·  Develop and execute on a account segmentation centric strategy.
·  Proactively engages sales teams to identify requirements for a successful launch – then partners to make it happen
·  Effectively tracks and takes responsibility for the impact of launches and adapts where required

3. Measurement & Financial Acumen

·  Effectively manages the marketing budget.
·  Able to tie country initiatives to financial outcomes and marketing KPIs
·  Ables to recommend pricing based on value and market situation
·  Actively tracks & shares progress toward goals, adapting where required

4. Generate market Insights

·  Able to analyze market data, assess environmental trends and help generate insights.

5. Customer Engagement & Execution

·  Drives development of KOLs and advocates.
·  Uses a test-and-learn approach to try out different ways of connecting with and engaging our customers including digital means.
·  Works closely with the sales team to understand their needs, ensure they believe in our vision / strategy, and equip them to effectively engage with our customers.

6. Brand Building

·  Understands the importance of brand positioning and the role of insight in driving it
·  Provides analysis and support for the development of franchise positioning as required
·  Helps create effective messaging for sales teams to support them to deliver the franchise positioning
·  Executes activities in the market in line with the franchise positioning and global strategy, and monitors how well they are being implemented in the area

7. Key Deliverables

·  Marketing strategy, KPIs and plan for the country
·  Robust launch plans for relevant new product/solutions
·  Day to day marketing management and support

8. Success Measures

·  Achievement of country revenue, profit and margin targets
·  Achievement of “intend” market share gains – in line with country strategy
·  Achieve marketing KPIs linked to major initiatives

Education

·  Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, engineering or related technical discipline is a must.  MBA is preferred.

Background requirements:

·  The candidate must have a marketing background.
·  Prior experience in diagnostics and sales is preferred.
·  Prior healthcare marketing experience is a must.
·  Must have demonstrated leadership capabilities and strong achievement in past work experience.
