Our location in Sylmar, CA, or Austin, TX currently has an onsite opportunity for an Associate Product Manager for Product Life Cycle Management (LCM).
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Lead the organization in leveraging passion about healthcare and technology to impact patients’ lives. The role will coordinate our global product LCM strategy across our Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) product portfolio and work closely with the global marketing team and regional marketers in all global regions to develop, execute and maintain regionally specific product portfolios including product phase in and phase out plans. Each region has unique product needs. This person will be in regular and frequent contact with global marketers to understand, document, and plan for the right product mix to support local needs by region.
The person will extend the existing quarterly and annual pipeline update processes and the existing product development and launch process to determine specific geographic new product phase in plans. This person will also work within the same processes and with global S&OP framework to establish geographic phase out plans. Finally, this person will initiate and facilitate a global long-range unit forecast process which will solicit regional plans from regional marketers and consolidate input into a global plan.
The Associate Product Manager, LCM is responsible for coordinating global product retirement in coordination. Product retirements will be managed in coordination with new and/or replacement product launches. This person will work with product launch teams and regional marketing teams to determine appropriate timing. This role is responsible for leading the following activities:
· CRM Phase In Phase Out (PIPO) planning
· CRM Long Range Forecast Process
· Provide input to upstream product managers for new product development about key geographic product needs based on an understanding of regional product portfolio utilization.
The Associate Product Manager, LCM is will also support a long-range unit based global demand outlook for CRM products to coordinate production planning based on estimated regional portfolio transitions.
Phase In Phase Out Planning:
· This includes understanding segmentation of the market, value proposition, targeting and positioning, claims development, and user needs definition
· The Associate PM will need to be able to collect critical qualitative and quantitative data through sales data analysis and field engagement including financials to quantify the opportunity
· Create clear, compelling, data-driven recommendations and forecasts that support annual marketing initiatives by using market research and insights from analytics to shape and refine connectivity
· Utilize market research, customer input, sales input, and other means to ensure profitable and differentiated products are delivered to market and strategically maintained
· Interface with regional marketing, supply chain, finance, global marketing and customers as needed to effectively maintain profitable product portfolios, while maintaining a customer focus woven throughout all activities
Long Range Forecast Process:
· Gather and incorporate cross functional input from product development, global marketing, supply chain and regional marketing teams to update and expand a global long range product plan across all CRM product categories
· Establish regional product phase out dates based on new product introductions (NPI). Update phase out timing based on changes to NPI timing.
· Update plan at least annually. Disseminate plan through approved channels.
The Associate PM is responsible for achievement of the goals and objectives of Global Marketing, the Division, and each of the Areas.
Performance will be monitored versus the annual marketing plan, and execution against the action items and financial objectives.
Must ensure compliance with the Quality System, and all Ethics/Compliance guidelines.
Must work within budget guidelines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Required
Bachelors Degree; Masters Preferred
Must be able to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Preferred
· Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master’s Degree with 3+ years of experience in international marketing/product management in the medical device, life science research, pharma or diagnostics industry.
· Healthcare industry, and/or medical device experience preferred
· Strong ability to work cross functionally, understand various needs across diverse functions, and prioritize work according to business unit needs.
· Experience prioritizing and managing project initiatives across multiple functions and/or business units. Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business model
· Ability to work effectively within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced changing environment -- multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong project management, team skills, and influential management
· Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization
· Adept at handling multiple assignments in a timely manner and meeting assigned deadlines
· Ability to travel, potentially approximately 10%, including internationally

The base pay for this position is
$82,100.00 – $164,100.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
