What you will do

Overview:

This newly created role is looking for an enthusiastic person to take direction from the workshop team in assisting with general tasks and who will not be phased by working within a busy workshop around vehicles.   Based predominantly at the Van Centre in Hobart Way, Tipton and some requirements to assist the main dealership workshop in Power Way Tipton. A driving licence is required.   This is a Monday to Friday role 40 hours a week - 08.00 to 16.30 with a 30 min lunchbreak. Any overtime is paid at time and a half. 

Pay: above the national living wage dependent on age.

Main duties:

·  cleaning and vehicle valeting,
·  organising parts
·  some basic mechanical tasks
·  taking direction from the manager
·  Ensure that the workshop facilities, equipment and tools are kept clean, tidy and maintained, reflecting the Renault Truck Dealership image of an efficient and modern retail Dealerpoint.
·  Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when appropriate.

Key Skills / Competencies:

You will be able to:

·  Effectively communicate at all levels both written and verbally and be an active team member.
·  Develop or work in developing new or enhancing existing processes
·  Adapt and take on new skills and approaches and participate in training and development activities
·  Have and enthusiastic approach to tasks
·  Have a mechanical background, either through experience or study
·  Have an interest in commercials vehicles
·  Possess basic knowledge of Word, Excel & Outlook applications & general computer literacy.
·  Possess a basic working knowledge of Vehicle Technology

A full UK Driving Licence is required
