What you will do

At Volvo you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large.  

As a Manufacturing Engineer Level II, you will take on a more advanced role in optimizing manufacturing processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives and providing leadership within the engineering team. Your role will require a blend of technical proficiency and leadership skills, along with a commitment to personal and professional development.

Your future team

Your future team has nearly 100yrs of experience with engineers coming from various diverse backgrounds.  This team collaborates within all of Engineering and with the help of external teams.

·  Prioritize safety protocols and ergonomic considerations to ensure a safe and conducive working environment for all employees.  
·  Understanding of agile methodologies and ability to apply agile principles to manufacturing projects.  
·  Advanced knowledge of manufacturing fundamentals, including processes, materials, and equipment.  
·  Extensive experience with lean manufacturing principles and a proven track record of implementing continuous improvement initiatives.  
·  Collaborate closely with operators and production teams to understand challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions. 
·  Take on a more prominent leadership role within the engineering team, guiding projects, coordinating resources, and fostering a culture of excellence.
