What will you do

The Volvo Group service market operates within a complex network of distribution centers and dealers. Optimizing this network requires forecasting, optimization and decision-making while considering the complex effects that the different actors have on one another. You will explore how causal machine learning and inference can be used to improve the decisions made and help better understanding the key features within the supply chain planning.

Key Responsibilities:

·  Investigate how causal techniques can be used to improve supply chain planning and decision-making
·  Learn the causal connections within the supply chain and define use cases how they can be exploited for future value
·  Compile and present research findings and data-driven insights.

Expected Outcomes:

·  A collection of use cases for causal machine learning within the aftermarket supply chain
·  At least one model detailing how causal machine learning gives advantages over classical ML in the SML context
·  A detailed report outlining research, methodologies, findings, and recommendations regarding the use of causal methods in SML
·  Presenting the research and practical applications of the findings.
