Salary:   up to £55,000 depending on experience
Location:  Rugby, UK
Travel:  Occasional travel within the EU region

What will you do?

 

As Warehouse Operations Manager, you'll lead daily operations of a high-performing warehouse facility of up to 40 colleagues across  2 shifts, encompassing both manual processes and automated systems.  Your focus: secure service levels, optimise resources, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

 

Your responsibilities will be to:

·  Lead all warehouse activities (manual and automated) to ensure operational excellence.
·  Oversee staffing, capacity planning, performance, and safety standards.
·  Drive continuous improvement through Lean practices and the Volvo Production System (VPS).
·  Support digitalisation and automation initiatives that improve throughput and service.
·  Monitor KPI's and implement strategic actions to meet delivery and productivity goals.
·  Foster a culture of safety, development, and accountability.
·  Engage cross-functional teams to align operations with broader logistics goals.
·  Coach and develop team members to promote long-term growth.

Who are we looking for?

You will have :

·  Strong experience managing both traditional warehouse operations and automated warehousing systems.
·  Proven leadership in logistics or distribution centre environments.
·  Understanding of lean principles, resource planning, and performance tracking.
·  Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and automation technology.
·  Strong people leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
·  Passion for continuous improvement, safety, and operational excellence.
