Software Engineer – Full Stack .NET Developer

Digital Delivery is a new function within Volvo Group Digital & IT. It has the ambition to identify and execute on new digital initiatives in tight collaboration with TD/BAs and Group Functions as well as modernize and transform our existing solutions into products and to secure agile ways of working across the whole Digital Delivery function.
Together with our digital talents, we will work on solution design and deliveries to improve business performance and create value at scale for Volvo Group. Included in our mission is to drive an efficient Volvo Group Digital & IT interface and Portfolio Management for the TD/BAs and Group Functions.

Your future team
You will join the Uptime Backbone "Stable team," a skilled and collaborative group working in an Agile DevSecOps environment. The team develops and operates backend systems that process and enrich telematics data for monitoring Volvo Penta machines. This data is shared with both internal and external systems to support critical uptime services. You’ll collaborate closely not only with your teammates but also with stakeholders across IT and the business side of Volvo Penta.

Essential Requirements:
· Proven experience as a Senior .NET Core Developer with strong proficiency in C#
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions, Service Bus, Event Grid, Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, and App Insights
· Strong understanding of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and API Management
· Proficient in working with relational and NoSQL databases such as Azure SQL Server and Cosmos DB, with experience in data access patterns and Entity Framework Core
· Well-versed in design patterns, SOLID principles, and unit testing methodologies
· Hands-on experience with testing practices, demonstrating a commitment to writing high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code
· Comfortable working in Agile Scrum teams, actively participating in ceremonies and delivering incrementally
· Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within an international, cross-functional team
Nice to Have:
· Experience in leading or mentoring development team members
· Familiarity with security and quality tools such as SonarQube, DAST, SAST, and SCA
· Understanding of telemetry and diagnostics data in distributed systems
· Interest in or experience with business process domains, especially in industrial or automotive sectors
· Exposure to multi-site or global development environments
· Experience with CI/CD tools, including Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions
· Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and diagnostics in cloud-native applications
Your Mission If You Accept It
As a Senior .NET Core Developer on the Uptime Backbone team, you’ll build and scale Azure-based microservices that enable monitoring and diagnostics for Volvo Penta machines. You’ll work with high-volume telematics data—processing, enriching, and exposing it through secure APIs to support critical business decisions.
· Write clean, scalable, and testable code using .NET
· Design and implement business logic, APIs, and backend services
· Review, refactor, and continuously improve code quality
· Stay current with technology trends to minimize technical debt
· Collaborate with team members and global stakeholders to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions
