Supply Chain Management Intern
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Supply Chain Intern position is an entry level position with the greatest focus on learning and application of skills as related to Supply Chain. The candidate will learn and apply basic knowledge of supply chain theories, practices, and accepted company procedures in a corporate environment.
POSITION DUTIES:
Ā· Responsible for supporting the Supply Chain and/or Category Manager and completing the required tasks (i.e.: RFQ's, special projects, purchase order placement, mitigation plans, data analytics projects, process improvement/time motion study, etc.)
Ā· Works with all facets of the TechnipFMC organization and will promote safety, quality, delivery, strategic alliances, information sharing, customer support, and technological advancement.
Ā· Performs relatively routine activities and tasks related to their area of focus.
Ā· Develops broader knowledge through performing structures functional assignments, such as collecting and analyzing data related to specific tasks.
Ā· Develops ability to recognize contractual, regulatory or project requirements. Begin to recognize when to consult other functional areas, such as tax, legal, risk and others.
Ā· Develops ability to understand and communicate within a diverse cultural environment.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Ā· Enrolled in BA/BS degree program in related field.
Ā· Minimum Sophomore standing and completed introductory course in Supply Chain Management.
Ā· Computer proficiency required. Familiar with MS Office, and other applicable software applications.
Ā· Ability to meet individual deadlines and manage priorities.
Ā· Effective written and verbal communication skills in English.
Ā· Accuracy and attention to details is a required skill.
Ā· Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
Ā· Basic analytical and problem solving skills related to field.
Ā· Ability to receive constructive feedback and coaching, and respond appropriately.
Ā· SPO membership preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment. May spend some time in factory/warehouse meeting with personnel. 70% - 80% of time spent on computer. 10% -15% of time spent problem solving/communicating with personnel.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Frequent sitting and operating computer. Fast paced atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change.
