About Technip Energies Lyon:

Technip Energies Lyon is specialized in Petrochemicals, Chemicals, Green Chemistry and Life Sciences, it also supports the development of innovative technologies in fields such as biotechnologies and bio-sourced synthesis products and hydrocarbons. As you can see, this center, with a staff of over 500, handles a wide range of engineering projects of various sizes (over €400 million for some projects), with a focus on upstream design projects that are technically very demanding for our engineers.

 

About the position: 

Within the Engineering Division, the main mission of the Section Smart P&IDs team is to ensure that digital design tools function and are used optimally to conduct engineering studies for the construction of industrial plants. 

To this end, we are recruiting an Engineering Design Applications Specialist M/F , who will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, customization, development and operational support of P&IDs design software.

Main activities:

·  Manage engineering software applications from a user support perspective, accessing and bringing intoservice available digital corporate resources, always procuring performance optimization and maximumefficiency in project execution.
·  Perform administration duties for engineering applications / plant design systems from diverse software developers such as Hexagon Intergraph, Aveva and Autodesk.
·  Interface and coordinate with engineering disciplines for data management, exchange and integration among different platforms and applications, all based and oriented towards a datacentric approach to engineering design in a data driven environment.
·  Conceptualize, design, develop, maintain and implement in-house custom tools to suit short term, immediate project automation requirements to add, adjust and/or update design data within and between P&ID diagrams.
·  Working along with IT specialists to deliver the best tool performance based on available hardware (servers), software, database, cloud, and networking resources, while complying to project standards, in conjunction with system integration requirements, project specific systems, and data management team members.
·  Collaborate with TEN Lyon strategic digital initiatives to procure a data driven performing operational center, while helping to implement corporate level solutions with the same objective.

 

About you

·  Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related Engineering field
·  Mastery of .NET development methods and tools (especially VB Net and C#)
·  Mastery of Python programming concepts for AI / ML
·  Basic knowledge of CAD tools
·  Server skills in Microsoft Server / Remote Desktop and PowerShell scripts
·  Knowledge of Oracle and SQL database systems / mastery of SQL syntax
·  Skills in administration and programming of SmartPlant P&ID software or Aveva, Autodesk and Hexagon (Intergraph) tools would be highly appreciated.
·  Fluent in French and English
