The project Subcontract Engineer is in charge to handle one or more subcontracting packages as part of a Subcontracting team.
He/ she establishes and implements effective subcontracting management systems, methods and procedures for cost and contractual matters at office or project level.
He/ she ensures a continuous improvement of the processes by feedbacks and statistics (cost, man hours, productivity, quantities, reworks rates, …) .
Job description
At Home Office, you:
· Implement and perform subcontracting management process (including prime contract flow down, procedures issuance, bidder long list, master bid package, construction manhours estimate, evaluation of subcontractors…).
· Perform negotiation, formation and award of formal subcontracts.
At Site, you:
· Ensure field administration of subcontracts (change orders and back-charges management, invoicing, contractual letters, ) until subcontracts’ closeout.
· Protect Technip Energies from claims, disputes and arbitration.
· Ensure formal assessment of the subcontractors’ performance.
You are meant for this job if you have:
· 2 to 5 years’ experience in subcontracting activities, with both activities in proposal phase (Home Office) and execution phase at Site.
· Engineer grade, having a good understanding of the Oil & Gas environment, and of the technical disciplines (civil, piping, equipment, electrical, instrumentation…)
· Good interpersonal and influential skills
· Open-minded, agile, flexible
· Fluency in professional English
· MS Office
