Job purpose:
For our office in Stavanger we are looking for a motivated student in their fourth year of their Master of Science program within civil, material, marine or mechanical to work within one or several of the following areas:
· Structural design and analyses including FEM
· Hydrodynamics and dynamic analysis
· Computer Aided Design (CAD) and 3D modeling (Inventor)
· Engineering for marine operations (remote or diver assisted)
Job Scope:
The exact content of the summer job will be defined when starting at our office. Typical duration will be 2-3 months (June, July and August), however other periods and durations are also relevant.
Reporting lines and interactions:
· Functionally reports to: Engineering Discipline Supervisor
· Operationally reports to: Project Lead Engineer
· Directly supervises (operationally): N/A
· Key interactions (internally, externally): N/A
Profile:
Must have:
· Completed 4 years of M.Sc. studies at University
· Good verbal and written English
Main accountabilities:
This role will suit a student seeking the challenge of personal accountability through the full project life cycle; from design, fabrication follow up and offshore installation.
