Senior IM (Information Management) Engineer

At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won't find anywhere else. We are looking for an experienced IM Engineer who can join our multicultural team in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job purpose :

·To implement project execution processes and systems in line with COMPANY IM SoW.

·Ensures efficient engineering data control structure for IM deliverables, flow of required data through intelligent tools (internal and external) and implementation on a project.

·Ensures timely and qualitative progressive hand over of IM Deliverables to the client

·  This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Project IM function and thus to the success of the EPC Projects and technical integrity of the operating Assets by working with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, implementing and improving global IM standards and identifying innovative IM solutions.

Job scope

·The Information Manager is in charge of :-

·Develop and maintain the Project Information Management strategy and the Information Management plan, according to TechnipFMC standards and Client requirements, to ensure data centric project delivery

·Present and explain tagging requirements to the engineering disciplines and ensure that these requirements are considered and applied.

·Review the Class Library with the disciplines and make clarifications/derogations to Client if necessary. Ensure that disciplines are aware of the data to be provided.

·Prepare and issue Information Management deliverables: Information Management Plan, Equipment Numbering Procedure, Data Control Procedure, Suppliers Data Requirements Specification, Handover Procedure…

·Experience with Smart tool data flow along with Integration , databases and with SPF/Aveva Engineering / Aveva Net

·Handle IM Data management, E-SPIR Data management team.

·Organize and participate to meetings with clients (clarification, follow-up, …)

·Coordinating the configuration of the tools and their integration in charge of coordination between disciplines, partner and subcontractor for issuing of electronic Deliverables.

·In charge of specifications for IM as IM plan and IQMF (Information Quality Management Framework) and detailed disciplines, partner and subcontractor interfaces specifications.

·Focal point of IM tools set-up and accesses for IT manager.

·Preparation of “Division of responsibility” based on data source.

·Assist disciplines requisition owners and clarify Data requirements during KOM with vendors.

·Provide IM input to the Project Execution Strategy (PES) and later to the Project Execution Plan (PEP). Develop and implement IM general guidelines and procedures for the owner's project team, design / execution contractors and equipment vendors for the relevant ORP phase.

·Ensure that the IM requirements are met according to the contract-specific IM Scope of Work and Information Specification. Ensure that the IM requirements are implemented by sub-contractors, Vendors and that the compliance is tested regularly.

·Build and maintain a Master Tag Register collecting the different properties linked to the tags, to answer internal (Commissioning, Maintenance, Construction…) and external needs (Class Library). Coordinate with engineering disciplines for data validation before consolidation and import in the Engineering Data Warehouse.

·Facilitate the data control process and undertake a role of the ‘Data Coordinator'

·Develop a Handover Plan and facilitate the effective handover of the project information and any related tools between the sub- contractors and Vendors.

·At each project phase undertake the IM-related mandatory value assurance activities for that phase as defined by Principal's IM Specification.

·Checking & review of Location Hierarchy.

·Contract review & implementation of Information Management requirements

·Establish & maintain information management systems between office / client / external offices / construction sites

·Identify/action any project level deviations from the contract as related to information management, Issue project level Information Management reports.

You are meant for this job if

Must have:

-Engineer degree (10-15 years of experience).

-Experience in Information Management, data management. (Sound knowledge of the Project Information Management domain, solid understanding of the typical Data Management and Document Control / Management processes and solutions / applications that facilitate them. )

-Sound knowledge of engineering data source from documents and intelligent tools

-Knowledge of engineering tools, knowledge of CMMS.

-Knowledge of SPIR data management.

-Experience with databases and with SPF/Aveva Engineering / Aveva Net

-Passionate, motivated, with good interpersonal skills.

-A good knowledge of IM systems i.e. EDW, document control and management systems, EDMS etc., as well as of associated reporting software.

Nice to Have :-
