At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won't find anywhere else. We are looking for a Rigid Pipeline Discipline Engineer who can join our multicultural team in Lysaker.
The Rigid Pipeline Engineer undertakes a range of engineering, design and installation activities in the context of engineering studies, FEED work, tenders or an actual project. Although the Rigid Pipeline engineer may take responsibility for undertaking scopes allocated, such scope will typically be performed under the guidance and supervision of a more senior discipline colleague, such as a specialist engineer, senior specialist or lead engineer.
As part of the daily tasks, the Rigid Pipeline Discipline Engineer will perform calculations and analyses using consolidated company guidelines. He/She will report and communicate outputs through design report, drawings, procedures or specification documents. He/She will be systematically responsible for the quality of own work, through thorough verification of own deliverables.
Throughout the course of a project, the Rigid Pipeline Engineer is also expected to interface with a range of internal or external stake-holders including the project team, the procurement team, the operational teams, the centers of expertise, the client and suppliers.
Job description
As part of the daily tasks, the Rigid Pipeline Engineer will be required to:
ยท Perform calculations and analyses using consolidated company tools. This could include pipeline sizing, general pipeline and rigid spools design calculations.
ยท Write reports and calculation notes
ยท Prepare and coordinate drawings
ยท Design and prepare technical specifications for the procurement of key pipeline component, using consolidated company guidelines
ยท Attend risk assessment sessions
ยท Monitor own activity progress against plan and advise a more senior colleague of any risk to schedule slippage
ยท Follow up test procedures, or offshore operation procedures
ยท Interface with key engineering stake-holders such as RP&IT, PPG or Genesis
ยท Prepare and undertake internal presentation or occasionally for external parties
ยท Participate to the consolidation of track record and best practices
ยท Participate pro-actively to the lessons learned and continuous improvement processes
ยท Occasionally checks peers' engineering deliverables, when deemed having the sufficient competence to do so
ยท Systematically be responsible for the quality of own work, through thorough verification of own deliverables.

ยท Pipelay offshore schedule
ยท Pipelay Vessel Mobilisation manual
ยท Pipelay vessel Mobilisation project engineer
ยท Coordinate pipelay analyses
ยท Installation procedure
ยท Offshore project engineer on TechnipFMC pipelay vessels
You are meant for this job if
ยท You have an Engineering Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Structural or Aeronautical Engineering MSc or equivalent
ยท 2+ years' experience in subsea pipelines engineering & design, either for an installation contractor or a subsea design house.
ยท Some degree of familiarity with the most common codes (eg DNVGL).
ยท Experience with offshore installation of rigid pipelines, preferably in reel lay.
ยท Experienced in doing design or installation engineering
ยท Skilled in producing technical product documents
ยท Understanding of schematic drawings
ยท Enthusiasm for engineering and technology
ยท Drive towards quality & efficiency

ยท Good self-organizational skills
