Job description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs in-process audits and dimensional inspections on shop floor for all product lines, performs in-process audits in welding and the Warehouse, assessing compliance to requirements. Will be required to document quality issues found during the in-process audits on a Quality Notification and interface with mid-level management to resolve quality issues. Will be required to review the root cause analysis, preventative actions and perform a follow-up audit on all quality issues documented on a Quality Notification. Inspection resource for Operators. Will perform Magnetic Particle Inspection, Liquid Penetrant Inspection and Hardness testing in a backup role. Strong written and verbal communication skills.


MAIN TASKS:

· Performs audits on the shop floor, including machining and assembly/test for all product lines, to the requirements of the QA Procedures, part report, drawing and Engineering specifications.
· Inspects product in accordance with the requirements of the part report and routinely uses micrometers, calipers, indicators and more advanced inspection and measuring devices.
· Performs audits in the Welding areas to the requirements of the QA Procedures, part report, drawing and Engineering specifications.
· Performs audits in the Warehouse to the requirements of the QA Procedures.
· Documents the results of the In-Process audits and provides feedback to the Facilitators, Managers, Operation Manager and Quality Manager.
· Documents the unsatisfactory audits on a Quality Notification within SAP and sends to the appropriate Facilitator for root cause analysis, corrective action and preventative action.
· Performs follow-up audits on non-conforming issues to verify compliance to the requirements.
· Inspection resource for the operators.
· Performs Magnetic Particle Inspection, Liquid Penetrant Inspection and Hardness Testing in the QA area as a backup.

REQUIREMENTS:


· High School diploma or GED required.
· Minimum of 2 years quality or machining experience.
· A knowledgeable of all FMC products, including Flowline, Pump, Well Service Pump, Compact Valve and Invalco is preferred.
· Thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
· Must be competent in several areas of dimensional inspection. Demonstrated ability to use more complex inspection equipment.
· Certified Auditor preferred.
· Level I certified in Magnetic Particle Inspection.
· Level I certified in Liquid Penetrant Inspection preferred.
· Possesses a knowledge of applicable engineering specifications, part reports and procedures.
· Must have the ability to interpret test specifications.
· Working knowledge of SAP.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Exposed to possible shop and lab hazards including heavy equipment and high noise levels. May be exposed to extreme temperatures if working outside .

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Physical position requiring standing, stooping, lifting and bending. Fast and heavy paced environment.
