RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision, inspects FMC Technologies Inc. products and/or outsourced components and materials and verifies conformance to requirements. Assists in problem solving in assigned areas and continuously meets or exceeds quality, safety and production targets. Assists the documentation specialist and the quality specialist.


MAIN TASKS:
¡  Verifies calibration of inspection tools prior to beginning assignment.
¡  Read Part Reports(DBI), part drawings and quality instructions to determine dimension specifications, measurements and tests required to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
¡  Operates more complex measuring devices such as micrometers and the CMM to ensure that dimensions of production parts or materials and/or parts from outside suppliers are in conformance with quality specifications and the detailed requirements of the DBI.
¡  Operates under internal procedures, Quality System (QS) and external quality certifications to include ISO (Industrial Standards Organization), API (American Petroleum Institute) and other governmental and customer requirements and specifications.
¡  Receives materials and reviews MTR (Material Test Report) and compares to the Part Report and Documents non-conformances onto QN’s.
¡  Will assist documentation department in basic document and log book processes.
¡  Works toward obtaining first level certifications in several areas of inspection (dimensional, magnetic particles, dye penetrant or hardness testing) or at least one level II Certification in a Quality Discipline.
¡  Records inspection results and completes reports and related documentation or data entry in an accurate and timely manner.
¡  Reports nonconforming product to the appropriate person and will assist in the coordination of documented QN’s.
¡  Process SAP transactions for inventory and location moves.
¡  Stocks materials using material handling equipment when necessary.
¡  Calibrate fixed gages and other mechanical calibrations with minimal guidance.
¡  Works in a safe manner and keeps all employees and visitors in work area aware of potential dangers.


REQUIREMENTS:


¡  High School Diploma or GED required . BA in Industrial Technology or equivalent preferred.
¡  Minimum of 3 years quality or manufacturing experience.
¡  TechnipFMC product knowledge preferred.
¡  Ability to read and understand drawings. Able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
¡  Must be competent in several areas of dimensional inspection. Demonstrated ability to use more complex inspection equipment.
¡  Possesses thorough knowledge of applicable engineering specifications, part reports and procedures.
¡  Ability to interpret test specifications.
¡  Proven problem solving ability.
¡  Strong interpersonal skills to include effective written and verbal communication skills at all levels of the organization.
¡  Must have 1 year knowledge of quality auditing techniques and documentation requirements.
¡  Minimum of 1 year SAP exposure.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Exposed to possible shop and lab hazards including heavy equipment and high noise levels. May be exposed to extreme temperatures if working outside.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Physical position requiring standing, stooping, lifting and bending. Fast and heavy paced environment.
