A great chance to join one of the most unique teams in our organization! The PYROTEC department develops TechnipFMC's highly sophisticated SPYRO® software which is being used by many of our clients. It's unique in a sense that we are one of the few EPC companies in the world that develops and sells their own software. But more importantly it's unique because of our people: all dedicated and highly driven to make our software even better.

What's the role?

The PYROTEC department focusses on the development of highly sophisticated software used by our Process Department and by many of our customers. PYROTEC is known for the SPYRO® program of which the most recent version is SPYRO® Suite 7. SPYRO® is used in-house for designing of furnaces. Our external clients use SPYRO® to determine the best operating parameters of their furnaces or to choose the best feedstock to maximize their profit. The vast majority of the ethylene producers have the license to run SPYRO® which makes this software a valuable product for the clients as well as for TechnipFMC.

As Pyrotec Project Engineer you are responsible for the execution of the Pyrotec projects and you will maintain the relationships with our Pyrotec clients. You will support the client from a service point of view to maximize the benefits and use of Pyrotec's software for the clients.

Your analytical and communication skills help you to understand the client's need and translate this into our simulation software. You'll verify the predictive value of the software with reality and technical drawings like P&ID's have no secrets for you.

You'll act as first point of contact and handle all kind of technical issues reported by clients. Moreover, you'll assist clients to properly employ our Pyrotec software and provide training in using our Pyrotec software. You'll act as intermediary of the development team to identify any shortcomings or to recommend software improvements.

In this role you are also responsible to maintain and improve the Pyrotec Client Management System (focused on support) as well as the Pyrotec Training System to ensure a structured and transparent methodology for client communication.

The work can be carried out either in-house or on-site.

What we need from you

You'll have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (or Physical Engineering) and a strong affinity with computer science. You have proven experience (2-5 years) in a process engineering role preferably at an ethylene plant.

Your English communication skills are excellent both in speaking as well as in writing. You're able to provide trainings and understand the client's needs to configure this into our simulation software.
