The PYROTEC department focusses on the development of highly sophisticated software used by our Process Department and by many of our customers. PYROTEC is known for the SPYRO® program of which the most recent version is SPYRO® Suite 7. SPYRO® is used in-house for designing of furnaces. Our external clients use SPYRO® to determine the best operating parameters of their furnaces or to choose the best feedstock to maximize their profit. A vast majority of the ethylene producers have the license to run SPYRO® making this software a valuable product for the clients as well as for TechnipFMC.

Job Summary

As Pyrotec Project Engineer you are responsible for the execution of the Pyrotec projects and you will maintain the relationships with Pyrotec clients.

You will support the client from a service point of view to maximize the benefits and use of Pyrotec's software for the clients. You will handle all kind of technical issues reported by clients, provide training in the use of the Pyrotec software and assist clients to properly employ the Pyrotec software. The work can be carried out either in-house or on-site. You will also function as intermediary of the development team to identify any shortcomings and software improvements. In this function you are also responsible to maintain and improve the Pyrotec Client Management System (focused on support) as well as the Pyrotec Training System.

Job Requirements

Is aware and cares for Health, Safety & Environmental aspects during daily actions, and drives HSE performance throughout project and or internal/ external services activities.

·  Provide the best support to Pyrotec clients using Pyrotec's simulation-optimization software.
·  Respond to client requests to provide technical services related to the Pyrotec software
·  Configure and deliver the Pyrotec software to the clients
·  Provide training in the use of the Pyrotec software to the clients
·  Report any detected shortcomings or program improvements to the development team.
·  Maintain and improve the Pyrotec Client Management System and Pyrotec Training System to ensure a structured and transparent methodology for client communication

Education and Experience:

·  BSc or MSc chemical/physical engineering, affinity with computer sciences and petrochemical (ethylene) industry.
·  Minimum 1 year of experience with Pyrotec simulation packages.
·  English, (Dutch)
