Project Engineer II

Position Overview:

This position is an intermediate level position able to complete work with increasing independence. A Subsea Services Operations Engineer is a critical component to ensuring proper planning and execution of post manufacturing services to our customers. An Operations Engineer's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: project execution, product and system troubleshooting, workshop instructions and on-site equipment support, technical documentation, technical planning, customer interface, product design review and validation, product maintenance, repair and refurbishment.

This role is for the High Bay engineering team supporting Well Control's permanently installed equipment (Subsea Trees, Tubing Heads, Flow Modules), Well Access workover equipment (Emergency Disconnect Packages, Lower Riser Packages, Surface Flow Trees), and their associated components.

Main Tasks:

Ā·  Manages the technical scope of delivering Well Control's permanently installed equipment and workover equipment through the workshop
Ā·  No direct reports, but often leads one or more professionals or technicians on a project basis
Ā·  Develops strong relationships with customer, customer service team and installation engineering team
Ā·  Participates as a fully contributing member of a project team
Ā·  Analyzes and interprets data independently. Anticipates potential problems and takes preventative action. Participates in the project planning and schedule process
Ā·  Creates work instructions and engineering documentation to mobilize, refurbish, maintain and preserve equipment
Ā·  Provides workshop and troubleshooting support for assigned projects
Ā·  Creates and prepares Service Orders to provide comprehensive instructions to workshop for projects including ownership of part and tooling allocations, task list operations and documentation
Ā·  Physical inspection and interaction with equipment in the workshop
Ā·  On time delivery of entire scope of assigned project
Ā·  Participates in project planning, scheduling and status reporting
Ā·  Supports Field non-conformance investigations, RCAs, and SN resolution
Ā·  Consults with other departments on equipment designs and questions. Identifies root cause of problems. Develops alternative solutions and communicates associated benefits and risks
Ā·  Prepares reports, including After Action Reviews, for engineering project assignments
Ā·  Participates in product and task standardization projects
Ā·  Shares opinions, ideas and resources with others to achieve common goals; fosters teamwork and collaboration, builds trust
Ā·  Interprets and applies relevant policies & procedures
Ā·  Ability to independently establish work tasks to successfully meet expectations.
Ā·  Demonstrate cooperation and interaction across stakeholders with similar goals, typically internal, often managing familiar and less challenging customers

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Fast paced office atmosphere with multiple priorities and constant change. Frequent engagement with internal and external contacts. Frequent visits to the workshop.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : Frequent meetings, sitting for long periods of time, operating a computer, observing workshop activities, climbing on equipment in the workshop.
