Maintenance-Lube Technician-Weekend Nights

POSITION PURPOSE: The Machinery Lubrication Technician position is responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical equipment.

POSITION DUTIES:

· Coordination of inventory and routine ordering of products.
· Stocking inventory locations
· Use and maintenance of tools and equipment for lubrication functions
· Draining and cleaning of reservoirs
· Mechanical modifications of systems to facilitate sampling and filtration and proactive improvements.
· Filling / topping off reservoirs
· Changing filters and breathers
· Lubrication with manual and automatic dispensing equipment
· Labeling or tagging reservoirs
· Perform field level oil analysis including viscosity test of coolant and oils
· Schedule, collect, label and mail samples for analysis. Evaluate returned samples for maintenance requirements.
· Update the scheduling system, adding notes and request work orders for repairs.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

· 3 years' experience in industrial maintenance environment
· Strong mechanical aptitude with focus on mechanical, hydraulic, and circulating lubrication systems.
· Good oral and written communication skills.
· Ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment.
· Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as: OEM manuals, Blueprints, advanced lubrication technology instructions, and system software instructions.
· Ability to basic mathematical functions to interpreting alarms, calculating inventory, and calculating lubrication quantity requirements.
· Ability to operate software and web based programs for lubrication scheduling and oil analysis functions.
· Understanding of lubrication concepts such as viscosity, cleanliness codes, beta filter ratings, etc.
· Ability to work bending, stooping, lifting 50lbs, and work at heights.
