About The Job
Primary focus of this role is to further develop the environmental program aligned with the environmental strategy of our company. Support the global performance and management system and processes as per the needs of Operating Centers (OC) – projects. Play a leading role in environmental plan deployment, risk identification, prevention and promotion campaigns, positive behavior, etc.
The role which you will play
Support environmental management and organize programs, initiatives to support environmental culture across the company.
You will work closely with the Operations (Engineering-Procurement-Construction), Sustainability department & the HSE Heads of the main Operating Centers. You will co-lead the Environmental working group and directly manage the Environmental Data analyst.
The Environmental Officer will be part of global QHSES Organization. You will report directly to the Global Environmental Manager.
The position is based in the Paris Area, France.
Responsibilities
· Implement and follow-up on the environmental actions and programs planned, in particular regarding biodiversity, Climate physical risk, Act 4 Nature and circular economy, including :
· Procedures update
· Digitalization program completion
· Coordination with other operational teams
· Management of external support (terms of reference, reporting, meetings…)
· With the Global environmental Manager, coordinate a network of global environmental experts (monthly meeting with representatives of the main Operating Centers) to:
· Share local challenges, practices
· Harmonize approach of environmental management
· Align on Environmental standards.
· Develop Environmental trainings / i-learn. Drive workshops.
· Be the focal point for the internal and external auditors
· Preparation of the auditees
· Follow-up of the actions
· Assess the progress on regular basis:
· ISO 14001 certification
· Environment risk assessment (ENVID) for EPC and all assets
· Biodiversity risk assessments by commercial and operations teams
· Biodiversity action plan implementation
· Climate physical risk program implementation
· Eco-design approach at engineering level
· Integration of environmental requirements at global construction and procurement level
· Reporting
· Continuously improve the tools required for the environmental reporting of the Group
· Articulate these tools with the other useful reporting tools
Main Skills
· Excellent knowledge of environment management system
· Sound ability to summarize and to report on complex technical issues
· Good research skills
· Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and English language
· Comfortable in multi-cultural environment and excellent teamwork skills,
· Strong collaboration and networking skills
· Quick learner and achiever.
Experience
· Motivating and driving a Global Organization
· Experience working with Multi-cultural and international teams
· Implementing Environmental certifications/ Driving digitalization projects within the Environmental scope
· At least 5 years in a similar position
Education
Degree in Environmental Engineering or a relevant professional qualification
