Engineering Planner
Dunfermline
We are currently looking for an Engineering Planner, in the Engineering Planning & P6 UK department, reporting to Derek Calder, Global Scheduling Lead.
Main tasks
¡ Plan and coordinate all WCM Engineering Execution Team workflow requirements within the Engineering Department, ensuring continuous flow of work within the teams.
¡ Collaborate with all Stakeholders in the continued development of the workflow visual management process.
¡ Forecast the capacity of the Engineering Teams and the required level of subcontracted work for the Engineering hubs, during periods of under and over capacity.
¡ They will be responsible for creating and maintaining non-project P6 plans e.g. PLM, Quotes Engineering, Indirect, R&D.
¡ Work with Engineering Management Team in support of the monthly S&OP cycle, ensuring output has been thoroughly reviewed and resource clashes mitigated.
¡ They will report on Engineering KPI's investigating causes/trends behind results.
The positions with us are diverse, and we need people who can Demonstrated ability to lead, and work as part of a multi-functional and multi-cultural network / team.
Our requirements are that you have:
¡ HNC Level or above, in Business, Planning, Engineering or Technical Discipline
¡ Professional Qualification â APICS, APM, PMI are advantageous.
¡ A Good understanding of Global Planning System (GPS) and Primavera Project Management System
¡ The ability to understand and demonstrate Product Knowledge - solid practical understanding of Engineering BOM's and the Engineering Execution Process (EEP)
¡ Understanding of Critical Path Planning and management of float
¡ Significant experience with Project Scheduling software (e.g., Primavera or Microsoft Project experience) and SAP
¡ Understanding of LEAN Manufacturing and Processes preferred
