ENGINEER – FLEXIBLE PIPE & UMBILICAL

At TechnipFMC, we deliver critical projects of a scale, scope and difficulty that you simply won't find anywhere else. We are looking for 2 engineers in the Flexible & Umbilical Engineering department who can strengthen our multicultural team in Lysaker, Norway.

The Engineer in the Flexible & Umbilical Engineering department is to execute engineering tasks within the discipline and for Subsea Projects during all phases from early business development through to project execution and through life of field.

Functionally reports to: Manager Flexible & Umbilical Engineering

Operationally reports to: Lead Engineer / Project Manager

Internal key interactions: Projects, Engineering

Job description
· 
Perform engineering work related to static and dynamic flexible pipe design:

· 
Flexible pipe cross-section design

· 
Flexible pipe end-fitting design

· 
Flexible pipe mechanical behaviour and stress calculations

· 
Perform engineering work related to static and dynamic flexible pipe analysis:

· 
Dynamic riser configuration design and optimisation

· 
Global analysis

· 
Service life / fatigue analysis

· 
Interference analysis

· 
In-place analysis and on-bottom stability

· 
Prepare technical documentation and design reports for flexible pipe and end-fittings

· 
Prepare technical specifications for flexible pipe ancillary equipment

· 
Provide conceptual and/or detail designs in accordance with internal procedures, industry standards and Client requirements

· 
Quality surveillance and supplier follow-up for flexible pipe ancillary equipment

· 
Quality surveillance and follow-up of umbilical manufacturing

· 
Ensure high focus on HSE and Quality in all activities within department

·  Travel may be required
·

You are meant for this job if
·  Completed an Engineering degree (M.Sc., B.Sc. or equivalent)
·  Fluent verbal and written English
·  Good communication skills both written and verbally
·  Positive and able to adapt to new technology and different cultures
· 
Flexible and able to handle stress
