In this role, you will be r esponsible for the effective execution of procurement activities for the full purchase-to-pay cycle for complex and strategic Purchase Orders for a project or series of projects within a high tempo environment. You will Implement Project procurement strategies and activities to mitigate risk and deliver to budget, schedule, quality, cost, etc.

Duties include preparing and initiating invitation to bids to Supplier selection, negotiation, Purchase Order award, and Purchase Order close-out of equipment and services. Works closely with Category Management.

Job description
Ā·  Works under minimum supervision on assignments that are broad in nature, requiring initiative, originality and ingenuity. Receives objectives and guidelines for projects. Develops solutions to non-recurring problems by independently analyzing, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data.
Ā·  In collaboration with the sourcing team develop and implement the appropriate sourcing and commercial strategy for the procurement of engineered, tagged or critical equipment and materials or direct services through the preparation of a master bid list while understanding the level of criticality and risk of the equipment or materials
Ā·  Prepare and launch open and closed invitation to bids using the company eProcurement tool, expedite responses and serve as the single point-of-contact for Supplier questions, and harmonize, complete commercial bid tabulations with recommendations
Ā·  Negotiate best prices and commercial conditions with suppliers within budgetary limits and scope of authority, manage contractual negotiations in line with legal recommendations and facilitate or lead Pre-Award meetings or proposal clarification meetings with suppliers and Project personnel to ensure alignment
Ā·  Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and amendments per the assigned Delegations of Authority and manage supplier acknowledgements, ensuring the output is accurate and error free. It is the Buyer's responsibility to ensure that placed purchase orders are based on accurate demand. Errors in this area may result in production delays and excessive cost of production
Ā·  In alignment with the Sourcing Team, maintain relationships with key suppliers in assigned category or categories to provide maximum utilization of their expertise, ideas, methods, market intelligence, best practices and material application in order to achieve the best value. Effectively share knowledge with the category network and with our project teams
Ā·  Initiates quality review of Purchasing documentation, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance of all department procedures and guidelines
Ā·  Leads supplier conference calls or meetings for the resolution or mitigation plans of key or critical issues to ensure alignment with project expectations
Ā·  Interacts with suppliers and co-workers in a team-based environment in order to fulfill job requirements. May also have limited interaction with management, both with the procurement function and others. Expected to actively participate in cross-functional team efforts and projects as the opportunity arises
Ā·  Maintains the highest level of ethical and professional standards of conduct as established by the organization while recognizing specific behaviors, which contributes to Procurement fraud
Ā·  May serve as a recognized expert on a specific category or categories of supply.
Ā·  May serve on departmental or cross functional teams for process and efficiency improvements
Ā·  Assists on the preparation of reporting and KPI measurements
Ā·  Efficient utilization of company systems, tools and spreadsheets
Ā·  Champion safety, quality, delivery, and cost with suppliers to ensure requirements are met on a consistent basis

You are meant for this job if
Ā·  Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business management, engineering or equivalent
Ā·  5+ years procurement experience
Ā·  Strong written and effective verbal communication skills in English.
Ā·  Proficient PC skills including spreadsheet and word processing and SAP or similar mainframe experience
Ā·  Proactive self-starter with ability to recognize contractual requirements and variances from standards and procedures to ensure compliance. Recognize when consultation with other departments is needed
ā€¢ Must have relevent procurement experience in either surface or subsea equipment.
