Specifically, you will be required to :

As part of your training at IFP school, we are offering you an apprenticeship as part of a team in Technip Energies Lyon's Process Department.

You will be working in the fields of the circular economy of plastics and the energy and environmental optimization of processes.  You will be involved in our projects and technological development initiatives in these fields. We can offer you assignments that match your skills and aptitudes.

 

The apprenticeship will cover the following technical, energy, environmental and business issues:

 

·  Technological development and sizing of innovative recycling and energy transition processes.

·  Process energy optimization (Pinch method approach).

·  Comparative technical and economic studies of chemical recycling technologies (depolymerization, dilution, pyrolysis, gasification).

·  Assessment of the environmental performance of plastic recycling technologies and the energy transition (product lifecycle approach and greenhouse gas emissions).
Energy transition legislation.

 

Through this crucial societal issue, you will have the opportunity to work at all levels of the engineering chain: process development, master plan, preliminary and basic study (conceptual study, feasibility study, Process Design Package), Frond End Engineering Design and, Engineering, Procurement and Construction.

 

The work carried out will enable you to master :

·  Development of process diagrams: choice of unit operations and simulation on Aspen plus and Aspen Hysys.

·  Drawing up Process Flow Diagrams and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams.

·  Material and heat balances, utilities and effluent balances.

·  Process engineering sizing calculation methods and tools.

·  Sizing and specifying equipment, instruments and lines.

·  Heat transfer, exchanger sizing and the PINCH method.

·  Major technical reviews carried out during industrial projects: PID review, HAZID, HAZOP.

·  Calculation of greenhouse gas emissions.

·  Energy transition legislation.

 

During your apprenticeship, you will be accompanied by a tutor to answer any questions you may have.

 

What if it were you? 

·  Currently training to become an engineer, as part of an IFP School apprenticeship.

·  You are dynamic, autonomous, curious and enjoy technical subjects. You enjoy working as part of a team and are comfortable in a rather innovative working environment. 

·  You're a good listener and communicator, with adaptability and initiative.

·  You have a good command of English.

Desired duration: 18 months 
Start date: September 2024
