Job Title: Dive Supervisor- Air & Gas
Job Purpose
The Diving Supervisor signed on the panel is legally in charge of diving operations, the ultimate safety of the divers in the SDC/water and is the only person who can initiate the dive
Job Holder requirements
Industry Certification (IMCA)
ยท IMCA recognised Air/Closed Bell Dive Supervisor certificate UK and Norwegian Legislation
ยท Meets IMCA minimum requirements for experience and competency
ยท AODC/ IMCA Divers certificate (HSE part I/II or equivalent)
Company Required Certification
ยท Completed a recognised Advance First Aid/ DMT course
ยท Valid Offshore European Survival Certificate
ยท Valid Offshore Medical Certificate
ยท Completed NORSOK recognized Leadership Training (Norway)
ยท Completed Norwegian HSE regulations and safety delegates course (Norway)
ยท Qualified and actively working as a Competence Assessor and Appraiser
ยท Letter of Appointment signed by Regional Diving Manager
Practical knowledge
ยท Industry and local legislation/ guidance ensuring compliance
ยท Subsea construction process/ cranes, rigging, lifting and QHSE procedures
ยท Weather, tidal and current limitation's affecting vessel DP, operations and divers safety
ยท Technip Group Values and Dive Management Manuals demonstrable in daily activities
ยท The requirements of Dive System Assurance and certification
ยท Company FMS/BMS, SMS and vessels ISSOW

Job Responsibilities Management
ยท Overseeing all relevant aspects of the dive system including, dive control panels, SDC/ Wet Bell launch and recovery, SDC layout, air chamber operations, operational and emergency procedures
ยท Liaising with the Life Support Supervisor, Gas Superintendent, Dive Tech Supervisor, Deck Crew and ROV as to the readiness of the equipment and personnel under his directauthority
ยท Ensuring the team are familiarised with company SMS and vessels ISSOW to a level appropriate for their job role
ยท Ensuring all shift handovers are carried out clearly and concisely, ensuring relevant information is logged within the handover log
ยท Ensuring accurate detailed daily logs are kept of all diver movements, dive activities, system breakdowns
ยท Ensuring all operational or system changes are managed in accordance with company MOC process
ยท Actively participating in feedback and review of Dive Manuals, updating Dive Systems Operations/ Emergency Manual, Dive System DESIGN Documentation and developing emergency training / drills
Safety
ยท Diver and SDC environmental control& dive gas analysis are maintained within company guidelines
ยท Dive system emergency training and familiarisation is carried out in accordance with company guidelines
ยท Dive system firefighting equipment operational awareness and all relevant personnel are fully familiarised
ยท Ensure that all relevant personnel are fully aware of the SDC/Wet Bell launch and recovery manning, operational requirements, layout and familiarity of emergency equipmentand procedures
ยท All pressure related injuries/ incidents are dealt with in accordance of the company manuals, with any additional local legislative requirements reported appropriately
Operations
ยท Fully conversant with project procedures, liaising with Project Engineers and assisting with organising and planning of the dives
ยท Diver briefings are carried out in accordance with company guidelines and logged appropriately
ยท Planning, preparation and ongoing management of readiness of project equipment for diving
ยท Ensure all system checks and operations are carried out by competent personnel
ยท All diving procedures are carried out in accordance with the company manuals
ยท Involved in the pre planning and assist with project mobilisations and demobilisations
ยท Ensure regular updating of operational status and schedules to assist in planning and highlight possible issues within the scope of work
Technical/Systems
ยท Logging and supervision of any incidents involving equipment malfunction or failure
ยท Equipment failures/ issues are captured within the system defects log and reported accordingly
ยท Ensure all documentation in use is relevant and traceable within the FMS/BMS or exerts from vendor operational manuals.
ยท Ensure SDC and vessel communications are maintained to a high level, reporting defects or improvements accordingly
People
ยท Ongoing personnel mentoring, appraisals, feedback and assistance with competency portfolios
ยท Continued logging of all relevant details within their personnel lob book
ยท Familiar with the Company's Key Human Resources Policies and Procedures
ยท Ensuring material and resources are available for development of Trainee Supervisors and Divers in all aspects of diving operations, gas management and emergency training
