Job Description
STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. are seeking to recruit a New Product Introduction Quality Engineer to work within Quality Department. The position holder will work closely with Malta NPI team and R&D for ensuring that the New Product Introduction process effectively and efficiently enables the achievement of internal and external quality targets, and in line with IATF and international standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Ensuring the correct execution of the NPI flow till the actual production maturity.
· Drive the problem resolution on critical quality issues encountered during package development NPI phase ensuring fast and effective root cause identification, by facilitating/coordinating.
· Work in anticipating risks and precautions from lessons learned for robust FMEA.
· Ensure the Line Readiness to enable the first production run in accordance with AIAG VDA for new package lines.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall:
· Master's degree in engineering.
· Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
· Strong analytical mindset and proven problem‑solving capabilities.
· Quality preventive approach attitude.
· Relevant experience in quality‑driven role within a technical or manufacturing environment.
