STMicroelectronics (Malta) Ltd. is seeking to recruit an Industrial Engineer within the Industrial Engineering Department.
Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Designing production lines with the required quantity and type of manufacturing equipment to meet production plans, as well as the necessary manpower to operate the machines, while ensuring an optimal equipment layout for linear material flow and improved manpower productivity.
· Identifying opportunities to reduce waste and eliminate inefficiencies in production processes.
· Simulating production line requirements.
· Simplifying tasks to maximize effectiveness, efficiency, and space utilization.
· Coordinating and driving projects and action plans with other departments.
· Conducting time studies on production equipment.
· Monitoring, tracking, and coordinating equipment incoming, outgoing, and internal movements within Malta production.
· Developing equipment layouts to ensure efficient and effective material, process, people, and product flow.
· Driving layout optimization activities in collaboration with Production and Lean Engineers.
· Assessing plant capacity in terms of space and organizing equipment allocation across floors.
· Providing line capacity data for Corporate Planning/Costing systems.
· Evaluating equipment requirements for capacity investments.
· Proposing, driving, and monitoring productivity improvement initiatives.
· Collaborating with other departments to improve key parameters such as OEE, MMR, and cycle time.
· Incorporating automation concepts and serving as a key user of AnyLogic simulation tools, including presenting proposals to plant management and stakeholders.
· Contributing to key projects such as Line Automation, Real-Time Dispatching, and Future Inside.
Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate shall:
· Possess a master's degree in Industrial Engineering.
· Have a proven record of Lean and 5S implementation to improve productivity.
· Demonstrate a methodical and analytical approach.
· Possess strong planning and project management skills.
· Be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
· Be capable of working on his/her own initiative.
· Have strong communication skills.
· Be responsible and mature.
· Be goal-oriented and disciplined.
· Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, parameter validation, and knowledge of AutoCAD will be considered an asset.
