Export Specialist

Role Overview
The Export Specialist must have technical expertise and in-depth knowledge in aspects of international export activities. The Specialist is responsible for supporting Richemont Americas’ export activities including complying with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP), United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS), Foods and Drugs Administration (FDA), Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Census Bureau regulations. The position emphasizes addressing and resolving export issues that may arise and includes interaction with other organizations within Richemont such as Maisons, distribution platforms, repair centers and customer service center, as well as with Customs Brokers, 3PL’s, and government officials.
Responsibilities
To be successful, an individual must be able to perform each one of the following essential duties satisfactorily:
· Support Richemont Americas daily outbound operations
· Prepare daily export shipments to various countries including Canada, Switzerland, Germany, Latin America and the Caribbean.
· Work closely with customs brokers to secure prompt releases from US Customs and Partner Government Agencies
· Verify shipment documentation for proper valuation, classification, country of origin, OGA/PGA requirements, and record retention
· Designate Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS) for export shipments
· Extract, proofread, analyze and update export data components as necessary in SAP
· Liaise with shippers, consignees, 3PL’s, brokers and overseas offices
· Perform special tasks related to export operations as assigned
Qualifications
Education
• High School diploma
• Some college preferred, not required
• Customs Broker License a plus
• Dangerous Goods Certification a plus
Required Experience
• 2 or more years of export experience
• Strong understanding of export controls
• Strong working knowledge of Titles 19 and 49 CFR
• Proven understanding of USHTS
• Functional knowledge of US Customs ACE Portal a plus
• Knowledge of Partner Government Agencies regulations and processes
• Proven understanding of international transportation
Technical Skills/Abilities
• All Microsoft Office Suite Programs
• SAP knowledge a plus
• ACE Direct reporting a plus
· Power BI experience a plus
· FTZ experience a plus
