Job description
The Building Office Services and Health and Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing office services, facilities management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role requires a strategic and hands-on approach to maintain efficient and safe work environments, manage building operations, and lead initiatives that enhance workplace sustainability and safety standards. The Scope of the activity is for the HQs in Milano, the HQs in Valenza and the production site in Valenza.
How will you make an impact? You will:
· Oversee the daily operations of office facilities, including maintenance, security, and cleaning services
· Coordinate vendor and contractor relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery of services
· Manage space planning and office layout to accommodate organizational needs and optimize efficiency
· Supervise office supplies, equipment, and furniture procurement in line with budget constraints
· Implement and monitor energy-saving and sustainable practices within office facilities
· Develop, implement, and update health and safety policies in compliance with local and Group regulations liaising with the RSPP
· Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
· Train employees on health and safety procedures, emergency response, and first aid protocols
· Manage emergency preparedness plans, including fire drills, evacuation plans, and crisis management strategies
· Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and implementing preventive measures
· Lead a team of facilities and safety staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management
· Collaborate with all departments to ensure a seamless and safe working environment
· Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues related to facilities and health and safety
· Develop and manage budgets for building services and safety programs
· Prepare and present reports on facility operations, health and safety metrics, and improvement plans to senior management
How will you experience success with us?
· Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field
· Robust experience in facilities management and/or health and safety roles
· Strong knowledge of local and international health and safety regulations
· Proven ability to manage budgets and vendor relationships effectively
· Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
· Certification in Health and Safety Management
· Excellent communication skills, including influencing and ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments
· Proactive in proposing innovation and efficiencies
· Experienced people manager, able to drive a team with leadership
· Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient workplace
· Proficiency in using facilities management and safety software tools
· Fluent in Italian and English
